A Nonprofit Organization

Come As You Are (Caya)

Caya is a nonprofit organization deeply committed to supporting career development and independence for Autistic adults. Our core mission is to nurture independence, bolster self-esteem, and facilitate community integration via our extensive job training initiatives.

Our Programs

Our program is designed not only to prepare individuals with autism for a successful career but also to foster their independence and confidence in their capabilities. We believe in the value they bring to the workforce and commit to facilitating their professional growth every step of the way.

Through our strong partnerships and employer network, we offer an array of industries and opportunities for individuals to be matched with.

Our proprietary Indvidual Independence Plan (IIP) is created after an intake assessment that identifies goals, strengths, skills, and preferences, facilitating a compatible match with an employer within Caya’s network. The IIP also addresses other health related social needs critical to meeting their goals such as housing, food, and transportation.

Rooted in empathy and empowerment, Caya supports autistic adults with personalized career coaching and job placement services, guiding them towards meaningful employment. We offer comprehensive supports that enable independence and confidence. Our programs are tailored to support individual goals, fostering long-term success in the workplace.

Businesses

At Caya, we collaborate with employers to remove bias from their recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention processes, fostering inclusive work environments. We help employers create tailored strategies that support diversity and inclusion. Additionally, we match autistic individuals with employers that align with their skills and career aspirations, ensuring a good fit for both parties.

Educators

We collaborate with educators on working with individuals for life outside of the classroom. We work closely on skills such as resume writing, internship placement, and self-advocacy in the workplace.

Our Community

Autistic individuals have an important role to play within their communities. Increasing public understanding and acceptance of autism is critical in nurturing a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Autistic individuals can bring a diversity of viewpoints and abilities that can enrich a community. They often have unique talents and skills, such as attention to detail, ability to retain large amounts of factual information, or excel in specific knowledge areas, which can be beneficial in various community sectors including education, technology, arts, and more.
